The heritage-listed West End Hotel has been serving Townsville locals since its construction in 1885 by Peter Dean. The West End Hotel is Townsville’s oldest operating pub and retains many of its original features and charm and continues to serve Townsville locals today.

The building still stands in its original position overlooking the Townsville Showgrounds, although the racehorse stables out the back have made way for more modern modes of transport. The interior of the venue retains that old world charm while the staff greet all guests as if they were part of the family.
